Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ascent CFO Solutions is recruiting for an unnamed publicly traded client seeking interim accounting support during the VP of Accounting’s maternity leave. The contractor will help keep the month-end close and quarterly SEC filing on track by reviewing the 10-Q, reconciliations, and technical accounting memos.
Responsibilities
- Review and tie out the 10-Q in DFIN ActiveDisclosure, including XBRL tagging
- Review month-end account reconciliations prepared by the accounting team
- Prepare technical accounting memos on lower-risk topics
- Review complex technical accounting memos prepared by third-party consultants
- Work independently and keep the team's reporting timeline moving while the VP is out
Skills
- Public company SEC reporting experience, including 10-Q review and tie-out
- Hands-on experience with DFIN ActiveDisclosure and XBRL
- NetSuite experience
- Experience reviewing reconciliations and technical accounting memos
- The ability to learn a new environment quickly and work with minimal oversight
- Experience building saved searches and reports in NetSuite
- A Big 4 or public accounting background and/or a CPA
