[Remote] Lead Principal Application Software Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Oracle is hiring a Lead Principal Application Software Engineer for its health care platform team. The role leads the design and development of scalable, distributed, resilient software components and services, owning the software development lifecycle from architecture through production.

Responsibilities

• As a lead engineer on our team, you’ll be responsible and lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support health care platform, applications, and our end users
• We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers
• As a tech lead you will own the complete SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production

Skills

• Applicants are required to read, write, and speak the following languages: English
• BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent
• 12+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems
• Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices
• Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java, Python, or similar OO languages
• Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks such as Helidon, Dropwizard, Spring, etc
• Experience with Public Cloud SaaS, PaaS Services and/or related technology experience, Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development
• Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects
• 15 years of experience in software development
