Remote Position
[Remote] Lead Product Insights Analyst
🌍 Remote · United States
💼 Full-time
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Applied Systems is an insurance technology company building software and services for the insurance industry. The Lead Product Insights Analyst will lead product analytics, transform user behavior, market trends, and business metrics into actionable insights, and influence product strategy, roadmap priorities, customer experience, and go-to-market decisions. The role partners with Product, Engineering, UX, Marketing, and other teams to establish measurement frameworks, develop analytics solutions, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product analytics by defining metrics, designing measurement frameworks, and delivering actionable insights that inform product strategy and business decisions
- Analyze user behavior and product performance to identify adoption trends, engagement drivers, retention opportunities, friction points, and areas for product improvement
- Partner with Product Management, UX, and Engineering teams to establish success metrics, embed instrumentation requirements into feature development, and measure outcomes after launch
- Develop and maintain self-service analytics solutions including dashboards, reporting, and KPI frameworks that provide real-time visibility into product health and business performance
- Translate product data into strategic recommendations by combining usage insights, market intelligence, competitive trends, and customer research to influence roadmap priorities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to connect product outcomes with business results, partnering with Go-to-Market, Commercial Analytics, and Data Engineering teams to link product usage, customer value, retention, and revenue impact
- Communicate complex findings to diverse audiences by synthesizing data from multiple sources, proactively identifying emerging risks and opportunities, and delivering clear recommendations to executive and cross-functional stakeholders
Skills
- 7+ years of experience in product analytics, business intelligence, or a closely related data role – ideally in a B2B SaaS environment with exposure to complex, multi-product platforms
- Expert-level SQL skills; proficiency with a BI visualization tool (Tableau strongly preferred) and the ability to build production-grade dashboards stakeholders actually use; strong Excel skills for ad-hoc modeling and fast-turn analyses
- Strong grounding in statistical analysis and data interpretation – you can size a problem, identify the right methodology, and communicate findings with appropriate rigor
- Familiarity with a modern cloud data warehouse (GCP/BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar) and a working level of AI literacy – you use AI tools to work faster and smarter, not just as a novelty
- Ability to synthesize competitive and market data alongside internal product data – you know how to bring external context into product strategy conversations, not just report internal metrics
- Comfort with ambiguity: you can scope an ill-defined problem, identify the right analytical approach, and deliver a clear answer under deadline
- Hands-on experience with a product analytics platform (Pendo strongly preferred)
