Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Onward Technologies Limited is seeking a Mechanical System Engineer to support the design of the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor. The role focuses on mechanical systems engineering, component specifications, analysis and design, regulatory deliverables, cross-functional collaboration, quality actions, continuous improvement, and leading design activities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for mechanical systems engineering activities that support the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) design
- Responsible for development of specifications for mechanical in-line components
- Provide support to the Licensing organization for regulatory related deliverables
- Responsible for analysis and design work supporting requirements specifications
- Interface with cross-functional teams and departments to complete these tasks
- Support development efforts for both new products and new technology
- Responsible to undertake the necessary corrective and preventive actions resulting from Quality non-compliance monitoring and audit programs
- Responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Action Work Outs (LAWO)
- Responsible to lead design activities
Skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Engineering/Technology & Mechanical Systems Engineering within the nuclear industry
- B.S. in engineering discipline from accredited university or college
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Master's degree from an accredited university or college
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
