[Remote] Patent Agent (Mechanical Engineering)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Diamond Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a top-ranked IP law firm for a Patent Agent with a mechanical engineering background. The role focuses on patent application drafting and prosecution, client counseling, patent strategy, and related IP litigation, transactions, and post-grant work.

Responsibilities

• Draft patent applications and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
• Formulate and implement patent filing strategies
• Conduct interviews with clients to obtain invention disclosures
• Review office actions and prepare responses
• Conduct interviews with Patent Office examiners
• Prepare infringement and validity opinions, handle patent post-grant proceedings, assist with patent and other litigation, and support intellectual property licensing and other transactions
• Manage a docket with multiple clients and deadlines

Skills

• Mut have a degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field
• USPTO admission is required
• Must have experience drafting mechanical engineering patent applications
