[Remote] Product Design Intern, 2027 Summer U.S.

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Atlassian develops software products that help teams collaborate and unleash their potential. The Product Design Intern will work on customer-focused design challenges across Atlassian products, partnering with cross-functional teams to research problems, explore ideas, test solutions, and create high-quality prototypes and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Apply strong interaction, visual, and systems-design craft to turn ambiguous customer problems into simple, accessible product experiences across Atlassian products
• Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and senior designers to understand customer needs, evaluate technical constraints, and make informed design decisions
• Use research insights, product data, technical prototyping and usability testing to explore assumptions, iterate quickly and improve the quality of shipped experiences
• Contribute to design systems, patterns and documentation while learning how AI and connected teamwork shape modern collaboration at scale

Skills

• This role is located in the Pacific Time Zone (PT). You must be willing and able to work out of this time zone to qualify
• This position is not eligible for F1 and J1 students
• It is not available for any work sponsorship
• * Able to commit to a 12 week full-time (40hrs/week) program during Summer 2027
• * Currently enrolled full-time in a 4-year bachelors or 2-year masters degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship, graduating by June 2028
• * Please note: At this time, this role is only open to entry-level candidates with less than a year of professional experience (this does not include internships/co-ops)
• * Experience with user-focused design
• * Demonstrate the ability to plan while juggling multiple simultaneous projects
• * Experience collaborating with team members, like engineers and product managers, and other designers
