Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Allstate Insurance Co. is seeking an Endpoint Security Engineer to secure and manage enterprise endpoint protection technologies. The role administers and enhances endpoint security platforms, improves detection and automation, and partners with Cyber Operations, Infrastructure, Desktop Engineering, and Identity teams to strengthen security.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize endpoint security controls
- Evaluate new endpoint security technologies
- Develop security baselines and endpoint hardening standards
- Provide technical guidance for endpoint-related security projects
- Understand system security vulnerabilities and associated threats, and assess the overall security risks to the system
- Provide assistance to engineers to implement new security tools to feed our DevOps/SecOps processes, ensuring the solvency of computing resources
- Participate as an active member of Design & Build IT projects, steering configurations and services towards industry-leading security practices within domain expertise
- Work alongside Senior Security Engineers/Architects, and assist in Proof of Concepts and implementation of the security solution
- Assist with security and compliance-based projects involving cloud, operating systems, applications, and database and security issues and requirements
- Understand DevOps ideologies with the ability to drive and communicate change supporting DevOps/SecOps methodology within the organization
- Understand software installations, systems monitoring and troubleshooting, account management, and overall efforts to minimize system
Skills
- 3 years or more of professional experience in cybersecurity, endpoint security, or security engineering
- 1 year or more of professional experience administering Anti-Virus/Endpoint Detection Response solutions
- Experience investigating security events and supporting incident response activities
- 1 year or more of professional experience with PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages. (Or Equivalent)
