[Remote] Project Design Engineer - Physical Security Systems

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Brookfield Global Recruitment Services is recruiting for a Project Design Engineer to lead the design and technical delivery of electronic physical security installations, including access control and CCTV/VMS. The role supports projects through design, documentation, coordination, submittals, testing, commissioning, and bidding.

Responsibilities

• Manage respective projects, keeping consistent communication and track of deadlines
• Engage with the different stakeholders and vendors
• Ability to interpret physical security standards, drawings, bill of materials, request for proposals, and submittal requirements provided by the client
• Participate in coordination calls with the engineering team and designated project manager to ensure proper communication and delivery
• Support project lifecycle of large-scale construction project
• Track revisions, RFIs, and submittals throughout project lifecycle and make sure industry standards are adhered to
• Hold responsibility for technical submittals for delivering security projects
• Primarily lead security design and make sure it meets customer standards

Skills

• Ability to interpret physical security standards, drawings, bill of materials, request for proposals, and submittal requirements provided by the client
• AutoCAD - strong experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Certifications in PAC/VMS Systems (Lenel, CCure, Genetec, AMAG, Bosch etc.), and PMP, PSP (Project Management), NICET (Fire Alarms) are a plus
