[Remote] Project Finance Attorney (Renewable Energy) - Interim

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Legalpeople is recruiting for an unnamed energy company seeking two Project Finance Attorneys for its in-house legal team. The attorneys will advise on renewable energy and infrastructure financing matters, draft and negotiate transaction documents, and partner with business stakeholders throughout transaction execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for complex renewable energy financing transactions
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage transaction documents
• Advise internal business teams on legal and commercial risks associated with financing transactions
• Support project financings, portfolio financings, joint venture transactions, and tax equity investments
• Counsel stakeholders on secured and unsecured syndicated credit facilities
• Assist with mezzanine financings, restructurings, and capital markets transactions
• Deliver practical legal advice while balancing business objectives and risk management considerations
• Partner with internal clients throughout all phases of transaction execution

Skills

• 2-5+ years of experience with project finance, corporate finance, or other sophisticated financing transactions
• Familiarity with one or more of the following: syndicated credit facilities, project finance, tax equity transactions, portfolio financings, joint ventures, capital markets transactions, or restructurings
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Sound commercial judgment and ability to provide practical legal advice to business stakeholders
• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
