[Remote] Project Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to support utility-scale solar construction projects. The role provides on-site oversight of field activities, monitors quality and safety standards, reviews civil construction work, documents progress, and coordinates with project stakeholders to support successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site oversight of surveying, civil construction, site preparation, clearing, and other field activities
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, and safety standards
• Perform field quality inspections and identify workmanship or construction issues
• Review and interpret civil construction drawings, survey files, reference points, and project documentation
• Document construction progress through daily reports, field observations, and site photographs
• Utilize Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, smartphones, and other digital tools for reporting and documentation
• Coordinate with Project Managers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to maintain construction schedules and quality expectations
• Track field progress and escalate potential safety, quality, or schedule concerns
• Work independently in the field with minimal supervision while maintaining clear communication with the broader project team

Skills

• 3–5 years of construction, field supervision, or related project experience
• Strong civil construction experience and understanding of site development activities
• Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings, survey information, and reference points
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with SharePoint and/or construction reporting platforms
• Comfortable using a smartphone to document field activities, upload photos, and complete reports
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and proactively identify field issues
• Previous utility-scale solar construction experience preferred
• Electrical construction knowledge or experience is a plus
• Experience performing construction quality control or field inspections preferred
• Candidates with experience in utility-scale solar, renewable energy, civil/site construction, electrical construction, or other large-scale commercial/industrial construction environments are encouraged to apply
