[Remote] Sales Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Index Engines is hiring a Sales Engineer to serve as the technical lead for enterprise and partner sales of its CyberSense solution. The role owns technical discovery, demonstrations, evaluations, RFP responses, partner enablement, and customer feedback to support new business, renewals, and product development.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to plan, prepare and execute strategic deals through complex sales cycles with partners and customers
• Lead technical discovery to understand customer environments, pain points and requirements, and map them to the right CyberSense solution
• Build and deliver compelling presentations and live demos that clearly show what makes CyberSense different
• Drive technical evaluations and proofs of concept from scoping through to a technical win
• Own the technical sections of RFP and RFI responses for partners and customers
• Enable and support OEM and reseller partners such as Dell Technologies, IBM, Hitachi Vantara and Lenovo/Infinidat in front of their customers
• Build trusted relationships with senior technical and executive stakeholders to support renewals, expansion and high customer satisfaction
• Share customer needs and field feedback with our Product team to shape future enhancements
• Gather and document competitive intelligence to sharpen our positioning
• Become a deep expert in the Index Engines product portfolio and keep your knowledge current

Skills

• 8+ years of experience in technical presales, solutions engineering or solution selling roles
• A proven track record of helping win complex enterprise technology deals
• The ability to explain complex technical concepts simply and creatively to both technical and business audiences
• Strong relationship skills with senior executives at partners and customers
• Confidence leading demos, technical evaluations and RFP responses on your own
• A B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a comparable field
• Solutions engineering or architecture experience in Storage, Data Protection or Security
• Hands-on knowledge of backup and storage platforms such as Dell PowerProtect, IBM Storage, Commvault, Veritas or similar
• Experience with ransomware, cyber recovery or cyber resilience solutions
• Experience working with OEM and channel partners
• Relevant certifications, such as CISSP or storage and backup vendor certifications
