Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Specialty Building Products is hiring a Sales Manager to lead sales activities for its St. Louis and Kansas City markets. The role focuses on sales strategy, team leadership and development, customer and vendor relationships, and achieving revenue and margin goals.
Responsibilities
- Foster an environment that embodies SBP and Amerhart's culture and values
- Responsible for leading the Kansas City and STL sales team in meeting and exceeding revenue and margin targets
- Create, communicate and execute effective sales strategies that focus aggressively on growth and long-term partnership
- Identify opportunities for new business
- Proactively engage customers within the STL and KC markets with a focus on long-term, strategic growth
- Actively build and grow vendor relationships
- Identify knowledge and skill gaps within your team and develop appropriate action plans to grow your people
- Ensure that world class customer service is provided throughout the STL and KC markets
- Work with Branch Manager to implement effective price strategies and price book management
- Continuously recruiting top talent
- Effectively communicate company vision and directives to your team
Skills
- Prior sales experience
- Prior management experience
- Bachelor's Degree: previous experience will be considered
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- 4+ years of building materials distribution experience
- Proficiency in COGNOS and Agility software
