Remote Position
[Remote] Senior Account Executive Industrial Structures
๐ Remote ยท United States
๐ผ Full-time
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Anchor Industries is hiring a Senior Account Executive to build a five-state territory and sell its clear span and permanent H-Line structure products. The role involves finding and developing new customers, guiding buyers toward the structure that fits their needs, closing deals, and reporting on sales activity and pipeline.
Responsibilities
- You will be the person who shows them. This is a full-cycle hunting role with an annual sales target, and you will own a five-state territory: Texas, Virginia, Illinois, Ohio and Georgia. These are some of the most active construction and industrial markets in the country. There is no inherited book and very little dealer coverage. You will build the territory, open the doors, run the conversations and close the deals, with engineering, product and leadership support behind you
- You will sell both of Anchor's structure lines, and part of the job is telling a buyer honestly which one fits. Sometimes that is a clear span structure for a 90-day job. Sometimes it is a permanent H-Line building that goes up in weeks, not months
- Each month you will present a written and verbal report-out to the General Manager covering activity against the team's leading indicators (target accounts named, first meetings held, whiteboards delivered, quotes issued), qualified pipeline with need dates, bookings, a forecast for the next quarter, and what you are hearing from the market
- During the first 90 days this is supplemented by a weekly pipeline check-in
- Travel of 50% or more within the territory (Texas, Virginia, Illinois, Ohio and Georgia), by car and by air, including overnight stays. Occasional domestic travel outside the territory for trade shows and industry events. No international travel is expected
- Visit active construction sites, manufacturing plants and warehouses, including walking on uneven ground and wearing required personal protective equipment
- Drive and fly regularly; a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and personal auto insurance are required
- Complete OSHA 10-Hour Construction training within the first 90 days (provided by Anchor)
- Work at a computer and on the phone for extended periods
Skills
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Personal auto insurance
- Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience in B2B sales
- At least five years of B2B outside sales experience, with a track record of winning new customers you found yourself
- Experience selling capital equipment, engineered structures, building systems or similar project-based solutions with six- and seven-figure deal values
- Experience selling into construction, manufacturing, logistics or warehousing
- Comfort with technical subjects such as building codes, structural loads, site requirements and permitting, and the judgment to know when to bring in an engineer
- The ability to run a conversation about a buyer's business, not just a product, and to move a decision through operations, finance and ownership
- Self-direction and discipline. You plan your own territory and hold yourself to it
- Existing relationships with contractors, data center builders, manufacturers or 3PLs in Texas, Virginia, Illinois, Ohio or Georgia
- Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings, fabric or tension structures, modular space, material handling or equipment rental
- Familiarity with IBC and ASCE 7
- Experience working alongside a dealer or distributor channel
- Formal training in insight-based or value selling
Benefits
- A structured onboarding and training program at Anchor's Evansville headquarters.
- Uncapped commission, paid from the first dollar of bookings.
- Engineering and technical sales support in the field.
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
- 401(k).
- Vehicle allowance.
- PTO.
