Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. KBW Financial Staffing is working with a growing venture capital firm seeking a Senior Accountant for a full-time remote role. The position manages accounts payable and receivable, prepares reconciliations and supports month-end close, and improves accounting processes through systems, controls, documentation, AI, and automation tools.
Responsibilities
- Managing accounts payable, including invoices, coding, approvals, and payments
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end close
- Preparing monthly customer invoices and supporting accounts receivable
- Improving accounting processes, systems, controls, and documentation
- Utilizing AI and automation tools to streamline recurring accounting and finance processes
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Experience with AP, GL accounting, and cloud-based accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online is a plus)
- Proficient with Excel or Google Sheets
- Experience with AI-enabled tools or workflow automation is a plus
