Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. TechSearch is recruiting senior backend engineers for a client building an AI-native platform for business-to-business trade. The role owns platform design and delivery, builds reliable high-volume event-driven systems, leads technical design, and mentors engineers while partnering with product.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of a major part of the platform, end to end
- Build high-volume, event-driven systems on Kafka and RabbitMQ that have to be right every time
- Lead technical design on big projects and plan for scale and reliability from the start
- Mentor engineers and work closely with product on what gets built
Skills
- 5+ years in product engineering
- Expert Node.js and TypeScript
- Hands-on Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar, on systems you built yourself
- Owned the design of a major system or product area
- Shipped production work with coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor or Codex
- You need visa sponsorship
- NestJS and Nx are a bonus
- Time at a growth-stage company, ideally Series C+ or an earlier one with real enterprise customers
- A habit of thinking about the customer as much as the code
