[Remote] Senior Clinical Infection Prevention Specialist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. STERIS hires a Senior Clinical Infection Prevention Specialist to provide customer-centered infection prevention services and training for GI reprocessing. The role partners with commercial teams to develop clinical action plans, review endoscopy workflows, train customers on equipment, and deliver continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Provide product education to Customers. This includes advanced concept education, CE accredited education and product in-service training
• Provide proactive problem solving and timely follow-up of Customer issues.  Identify and utilize available support resources (i.e., technical services, Customer service, and marketing)
• Conduct process reviews in assigned territory and analyze a facility’s workflow and process in accordance with standards and guidelines
• Maintain documentation of Customer interactions utilizing sales tools appropriately
• Active involvement in relevant professional organizations
• Communicate and collaborate proactively with internal and external stakeholders.  Actively listen and express ideas to bring about understanding with others, and present complex or sensitive information in a clear and concise manner
• Proactively identify and address opportunities and issues before they become bigger problems with limited to no guidance and then deliver information to commercial sales partners as appropriate

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or industry advanced certification (CGRN, CFER, or equivalent)
• 4 years of Clinical experience in Sterile Processing Dept (SPD), Endoscopy, other hospital departments or medical industry setting
• Experience and proficiency in presenting educational material
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Infection Prevention
• Nursing or Allied Healthcare professional degrees (RN, CGRN, BSN or greater)
• Completion of Certified Infection Control (CIC)
• 10 years in leadership role in an endoscopy unit
• 5 years of experience in endoscopy reprocessing (i.e. technician)
• 5 years of experience as an Infection Preventionist responsible for high level disinfection in a hospital or ASC setting
• Experience in building and implementing strategic plans for health care stakeholders
