[Remote] Senior Solutions IT Architect supporting Capacity Growth–Remote, Domestic US Locations

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Raytheon is hiring a Senior Solutions IT Architect to lead architecture design and IT infrastructure roadmaps for classified, digitally supported programs. The role focuses on resilient infrastructure and cloud solutions, capacity planning, and coordinating with engineering and technical teams to meet business, performance, and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build technical relationships with internal customers and act as their architectural advisor
• Architect resilient, redundant and highly-available infrastructure solutions for classified environments, across compute, storage and virtualization layers, as well as data retention and archival solutions ensuring compliance with mission needs, program cost profiles, performance requirements, standards and security requirements
• Architect hybrid classified cloud integrations supporting increased velocity manufacturing
• Facilitate cloud adoption by sharing best practices, reference architectures, and providing education on cloud adoption and cloud migrations
• Architect cross-domain solutions to drive automated low-to-high data and event flows
• Coordinate with system administration, network, cybersecurity, and application teams to ensure cohesive end-to-end system performance
• Produce detailed architectural diagrams and system design documents, aligning with internal configuration standards for classified systems
• Develop cloud migration and integration strategies for legacy systems, proprietary applications, and new enterprise capabilities
• Support capacity and scalability planning for classified compute infrastructure
• Coordinate with proposal teams and technical review teams regarding creation of technical solutions

Skills

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience
• Experience in developing systems designs, including architecture, and deployment
• Experience with infrastructure technologies such as server operating systems, server hardware, storage, networks, virtualization, cloud integrations, encryption, and security, archival systems and clients
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
• Organizational skills to include attention to detail, time management and ability to multitask
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows, Red Hat, Ansible, VMware, Containerization, Cloud Native Architectures and Netapp Storage devices
• Architectural and Security certifications such as TOGAF, Security+, and CISSP
• Demonstrated cloud integration experience
• Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, process steps, and technical data in written, graphical, and spoken dialogue
• Demonstrated ability to produce high quality, standards-based architecture artifacts and documents
• Ability to accurately express and articulate technical details to all levels of users and leadership
• Experience with Government security controls including NISPOM, JAFAN, ICD 503 and the RMF
