[Remote] Sr Data Scientist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Amgen is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to build and sustain data products, business applications, and AI-enabled solutions that improve decision-making and operational efficiency. The role also develops data platforms and integrations, automates workflows, and partners with business and technical teams to deliver solutions from requirements through ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data-driven products and business applications that improve decision-making and operational efficiency

Skills

• Doctorate degree
• Master's degree and 2 years of Data Scientist experience
• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Data Scientist experience
• Associate's degree and 8 years of Data Scientist experience
• High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Data Scientist experience
• Strong Python development experience for applications, automation, AI, and analytics
• Advanced SQL and large-scale data processing experience
• Experience developing Generative AI and LLM-based applications
• Passion for applying AI, analytics, automation, and software engineering to solve business problems
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to rapidly prototype and deploy business solutions
• Experience balancing technical decisions with business priorities
• Experience with Databricks, AWS, and cloud-native architectures
• Experience with data pipelines, workflow orchestration, and data quality monitoring
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, or other regulated environments
• Experience with RAG, agentic AI, and knowledge-driven systems
• Experience building business applications using modern web frameworks
• Experience developing APIs, integrations, and backend services
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, testing, and software engineering best practices
• Experience integrating enterprise systems such as SAP, manufacturing, quality, clinical, or supply chain platforms
