[Remote] Supply Chain Business Analytics Intern

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Advantage Solutions is hiring a Supply Chain Business Analytics Intern to support its supply chain services organization. The intern will analyze operational information, develop reporting and decision-support materials, explore practical uses of AI, document processes, and communicate insights to business and client-facing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support data storytelling and dashboard reporting that clarify what operational information means for clients and the business
• Analyze business and operational information to identify patterns, implications, and practical recommendations
• Explore responsible, practical uses of AI to improve reporting, responsiveness, client support, and team agility
• Assist with the development or enhancement of dashboards, recurring reports, presentations, and other decision-support materials
• Help document business processes through standard operating procedures, guidelines, routing guides, and related resources
• Partner with supply chain, operations, and client-facing stakeholders to understand business questions and translate information into useful insights
• Build clear presentations and communicate findings to technical and nontechnical business partners
• Bring an outside perspective, ask thoughtful questions, and help improve how work is organized and communicated
• Own or contribute to a substantive summer project and present outcomes as part of the internship capstone experience
• Participate in team meetings, manager check-ins, Intern Insider sessions, weekly program hubs or office hours, National Intern Day activities, and other development experiences
• Perform other duties and project work as assigned based on evolving business priorities

Skills

• High school diploma or GED
• Currently enrolled in an accredited four-year degree-granting institution or an accredited graduate, master's, or MBA program in the United States
• Working toward a degree in data analytics, business analytics, information systems, operations, supply chain, business, finance, or a related field
• Supply chain coursework, a minor, certificate, or relevant project is helpful but not required
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Experience through coursework, academic projects, work, or extracurricular activities that demonstrates an ability to use data or information to answer a question or support a recommendation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to explain the meaning, implication, or recommended action behind information rather than only producing a report
• Ability to organize information clearly and contribute to process documentation, instructions, guidelines, or similar materials
• Strong curiosity, initiative, learning agility, follow-through, and comfort working through business problems when the path is not fully defined
• Clear written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to organize work independently, ask thoughtful questions, and communicate proactively in a remote environment
• Exposure to dashboards, business intelligence, data visualization, AI tools, or other reporting and analytics methods is a plus
• Interest in supply chain services, operations analytics, business intelligence, data storytelling, process improvement, or AI for business
• Understanding of how reports and dashboards can support decisions, client service, and business outcomes
• Experience creating a presentation, dashboard, report, SOP, guide, or other tool that helped an audience understand information or complete work more effectively
• Ability to balance analytical thinking with practical business judgment and audience needs
• Comfort collaborating across functions and adapting as project scope or business priorities evolve
