Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The hiring company is confidential. The Network Support Engineer operates and supports internal data communications systems, implements network solutions, troubleshoots issues, and provides steady-state managed services support.
Responsibilities
- Operates company's internal data communications systems
- Plans, designs and implements local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VOIP)
- Supports/troubleshoots network issues and coordinates with vendors for installation of such items as routers and switches
- Works on project implementation
- Provides training and assists with proposal writing
- Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons
- Builds proof-of concept solutions with networking system technology and architects and implements networking solutions to address client requirements
- Works with products or solutions on vendor hardware and operating system software
- Network Engineer to provide steady state managed services support
Skills
- Requires knowledge in networking system technology areas including routers, networking controllers, bridges, or networking software related to these technologies
