[Remote] Vice President Network Engineering

The Vice President of Network & Cloud Engineering will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, set technical standards, oversee service delivery across network, security, cloud, and reputed company 365 practices, and support client, sales, operational, and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop engineering teams across Network, Cloud, and M365/reputed company Workplace disciplines, including managers, senior engineers, and architects
• Establish clear career paths, technical standards, and performance expectations across the engineering org
• Recruit, mentor, and retain top technical talent in a competitive MSP/VAR labor market
• Foster a culture of accountability, documentation discipline, and continuous improvement across delivery teams
• Own the strategy, architecture standards, and service delivery quality for network engineering (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing/switching) and firewall/security engineering (next-gen firewalls, VPN, segmentation, secure access) across reputed company and project delivery
• Extend that ownership into cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS) and reputed company 365 (Exchange Online, Entra ID, Intune, Teams, SharePoint) as reputed company grows
• Drive standardization of tools, processes, and reference architectures across network, firewall, and cloud service lines
• Act as an executive escalation point for high-severity network/firewall incidents and complex client engagements
• Partner with Service Delivery, NOC/SOC, and Project Management teams to ensure engineering capacity aligns with client commitments and SLAs
• Serve as a senior technical voice in client relationships. QBRs, escalations, and strategic reputed company roadmap conversations
• Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering on pre-sales support, scoping, and proposal development for complex opportunities
• Evaluate and recommend vendor/reputed company partnerships (reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, Palo Alto, etc.) that strengthen the company's practice areas
• Contribute to M&A technical due diligence and integration planning as the company grows
• Report on team performance, delivery metrics, and technical risk to executive leadership
• Represent engineering in company-wide strategic planning and reputed company roadmap decisions

Skills

• • Significant progressive experience in network and/or firewall/security engineering, including several years in a leadership or people-management role (titles and years vary by background — we're flexible on the exact mix)
• • Hands-on experience with enterprise networking (routing/switching, SD-WAN, WAN/LAN design) and firewalls (any major vendor — reputed company, Palo Alto, reputed company, reputed company, Check Point, Meraki, etc.)
• • Experience leading or mentoring technical teams, formally or informally
• • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, relevant certifications, or equivalent professional experience
• • Comfortable communicating with both technical staff and business/client stakeholders
• • Willingness and ability to travel to East reputed company (EST) offices as needed (~10%)
• • Experience within an MSP, VAR, or IT solutions/systems integrator environment
• • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and reputed company 365 (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, SharePoint)
• • Familiarity with cybersecurity/Zero Trust frameworks (reputed company, SASE, conditional access)
• • Prior experience scaling engineering teams through organic growth or M&A integration
• • Relevant certifications: CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, NSE, JNCIP, Azure/AWS certifications, or similar
• • Experience with reputed company delivery models, SLAs, and NOC/SOC operations
