The Vice President of Business Development drives strategic growth and expands the client portfolio by developing business plans, identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and overseeing sales, account management, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Driving strategic growth initiatives and expanding MSH Consulting’s client portfolio in targeted markets
- Leads the development and execution of business development plans, identifies new opportunities, and builds long-term relationships with key decision-makers in public and private organizations
- Prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing proposals and presentations, negotiating contracts and commercial terms, and collaborating with service line leaders to tailor solutions to client needs
- Oversees account management efforts, monitors market trends and competitor activity, and provides regular reporting on pipeline, revenue projections, and strategic partnerships to senior leadership
Skills
- Strong skills in New Business Development and Sales
- Skills in Business Planning and Account Management
- Skills in Contract Negotiation
- Proven experience in business development or commercial leadership roles within professional services, consulting, or financial/audit sectors
- Strong knowledge of financial, accounting, audit, or tax services and an ability to understand client regulatory and compliance needs
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking abilities, including market analysis, forecasting, and performance tracking
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment and collaborating virtually with international and cross-cultural teams
