Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. JCL Energy is hiring a Vice President of Operations to lead supply chain, inventory and logistics, order fulfillment, shop execution, and quality and warranty. The role owns cost, quality, and delivery performance across the company and supports operational growth through performance metrics and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Supply Chain & Vendor Management: Strategic sourcing, transformer procurement through our strategic partnerships, vendor scorecards, cost-savings targets, and supply agreements, plus timely pricing to support live sales quoting
- Inventory & Logistics: Real-time inventory tracking and maintenance across all sites, sales-facing inventory visibility, carrier selection and freight cost management, and faster inventory turns
- Order Management & Fulfillment: End-to-end post-order execution for Product and Rental, MTO production-timeline forecasting, and on-time delivery
- Shop Execution: Shop operations across three facilities through dedicated Shop Manager(s), managed as shared-service cost centers against defined SLAs, with cross-trained teams that flex between Product and Rental
- Quality & Warranty: Root-cause analysis, corrective action, and company-wide ownership of cost of non-conformance
- Operational Excellence: Standardized processes, tools, and continuous-improvement discipline across the whole company, not just Operations
- Team Build-Out: Developing a strong Shop Manager and growing the supply chain and quality functions over time
Skills
- 10+ years of progressive operations leadership, ideally spanning supply chain/vendor management and shop-floor or plant operations in distribution, industrial, or manufacturing environments
- Experience building and scaling operations in a PE-backed or high-growth company
- Multi-site leadership with cross-trained, flexible workforces
- Hands-on experience with inventory management systems and freight/logistics, ideally in distribution or capital equipment
- A track record owning quality and warranty programs, including cost-of-non-conformance reduction
- Strong process discipline and comfort building KPIs, SLAs, and scorecards from scratch
- Comfort moving between executive strategy and the shop floor or a vendor negotiation
