[Remote] Virtual Account Representative - Specialty Ingredients

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Univar Solutions is hiring a Virtual Account Representative to manage a territory of existing accounts in the Performance Materials, Health & Nutrition, or CARE Manufacturing space. The role focuses on achieving sales quotas through new business acquisition, maintaining existing customer spend, and managing territory growth.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers through regular sales calls via phone/email/video conference to learn about their business goals, ingredient needs, and identify opportunities for growth
• Ensure existing business re-orders are secured through regular monitoring of buying patterns and effective territory management
• Manage a robust new product opportunity pipeline while regularly updating progress in Salesforce.com
• Uncover competitive pricing intel, buying drivers, and customer pain points to negotiate for and win new business
• Stay updated on market and product line offerings to provide value and insight to customer base
• Identify customer potential and appropriately align with service level and sales channel

Skills

• 1+ year of sales experience in a B2B environment & HS Diploma/GED
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop strong, successful business relationships with customers as well as internal teammates
• Well-honed listening and problem-solving skills to uncover needs and motivations to overcome objections in order provide the services and/or products that best fit the customer's needs
• Attention to detail and excellent digital literacy including Microsoft Suite as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com
• Food or Nutra chemical ingredient experience
