Role Overview

As a Senior Account Executive – Mid‑Market Growth & Emerging Customer Acquisition Specialist, you will be the catalyst for expansion in our most dynamic segment. Focused on mid‑market customers (500–1,000 employees) across the United States, you will manage a portfolio of existing accounts while actively hunting new opportunities. This role demands a strategic thinker who can navigate high‑velocity sales cycles, build lasting relationships with C‑suite leaders, and articulate the transformative impact of brighthush’s HCM solutions.

In this position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for senior HR and finance executives, translating complex business challenges into actionable, technology‑driven solutions. Your success will be measured by your ability to exceed quarterly and annual quotas, expand account footprints, and contribute to brighthush’s broader market leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute data‑driven business plans that consistently achieve and surpass quarterly and annual sales quotas.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with C‑suite executives, HR leaders, and key decision‑makers within assigned accounts, positioning brighthush as a trusted advisor.
  • Leverage deep industry knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of brighthush’s capabilities to uncover upsell, cross‑sell, and expansion opportunities across the customer lifecycle.
  • Lead end‑to‑end sales engagements, collaborating with internal teams (solutions engineering, customer success, marketing) to deliver tailored presentations, proposals, and ROI analyses.
  • Utilize competitive intelligence and market insights to position brighthush as the preferred HCM partner, differentiating our platform from competitors.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing structures that align with brighthush’s sales policies while delivering strong business outcomes for both parties.
  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date data in the CRM system, ensuring visibility into pipeline activities, forecasting, and account health.
  • Complete all required HCM certifications and product training to stay current on platform enhancements and industry trends.
  • Advocate the value of brighthush’s HCM applications, clearly differentiating them from competitors and articulating measurable ROI.
  • Collaborate with marketing to co‑create targeted campaigns, webinars, and thought‑leadership content that resonates with mid‑market prospects.
  • Mentor and coach junior sales team members, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven success in software or technology sales, preferably in the HCM or enterprise SaaS space.
  • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding B2B sales targets in a high‑growth environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a robust pipeline through self‑generated activities and corporate marketing programs.
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closing—in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including C‑suite executives.
  • Proficiency in using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools to track performance and forecast accurately.
  • High energy, resilience, and a proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting where priorities shift rapidly.
  • Self‑starter who can work independently with limited direction while maintaining a collaborative mindset across cross‑functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a consultative sales approach, capable of translating business challenges into technology solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in HCM or related high‑tech products and services, with a deep understanding of workforce management challenges.
  • Knowledge of brighthush’s platform and its competitive positioning within the mid‑market segment.
  • Experience with digital selling tools, including social media, video, and automation platforms, to engage prospects at scale.
  • Familiarity with mid‑market customer dynamics and the challenges of scaling workforce solutions in fast‑growing organizations.
  • Advanced certifications in SaaS sales, such as Certified Inside Sales Professional (CISP) or similar credentials.
  • Experience leading or participating in strategic account planning initiatives and cross‑functional go‑to‑market strategies.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic account planning and execution, with a focus on long‑term growth and customer retention.
  • Solution‑selling and value‑based selling techniques that emphasize ROI and business outcomes.
  • Data‑driven decision making and an analytical mindset to interpret sales metrics and market trends.
  • Adaptability to evolving sales tools, technologies, and market dynamics.
  • Team collaboration across cross‑functional groups, including engineering, customer success, and marketing.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills to juggle multiple accounts and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and deliver persuasive presentations.
  • Resilience and perseverance in the face of rejection, with a focus on continuous improvement.
