AI Fluency – A Core Expectation

At brighthush, AI fluency is not a buzzword; it’s a foundational skill that drives everything we do. Every candidate is evaluated against our three‑level AI framework, ensuring that our team members can integrate AI into everyday work at the level that best suits their role:

  • Explorer (Level 1) – Uses AI daily to boost personal productivity.
  • Builder (Level 2) – Creates workflows and tools that elevate the entire team.
  • Integrator (Level 3) – Embeds AI into products and processes at scale.

All hires must demonstrate at least Level 1 proficiency, with higher expectations for senior roles. As a Senior Customer Success Advisor, you will be expected to operate at Level 2 or Level 3, depending on the complexity of the payer relationships you manage.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Customer Success Advisor – Health Plans to own and nurture our most strategically important payer relationships. This is a senior, individual‑contributor position with direct accountability for revenue retention, member marketing access, relationship strength, and the account conditions that enable cross‑sell and upsell opportunities. You will act as the general manager of a concentrated payer portfolio, navigating claims, ROI economics, marketing approvals, member access, product expansion, executive relationships, and complex operational dependencies across brighthush, the plan, its subsidiaries, employer groups, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the success of a concentrated portfolio of strategic health‑plan relationships, protecting revenue retention and creating the conditions for growth.
  • Secure and expand approvals, channels, data, and subsidiary participation that put brighthush in front of eligible members, then evaluate whether that access translates into enrollment, utilization, and value.
  • Build a multi‑threaded network across economic, clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders—including those who can quietly block access, renewal, or expansion.
  • Interrogate claims, utilization, outcomes, guarantees, attribution, and ROI evidence, then lead account strategy, value communication, business reviews, and escalations.
  • Partner with Sales on cross‑sell and upsell initiatives, mobilizing brighthush’s internal specialists as resources in an account plan you still own.
  • Operate with significant autonomy, identifying emerging risks and opportunities, defining strategy where playbooks do not exist, and driving execution across the organization.

Essential Qualifications

  • Substantial experience managing health plans as customers from a digital‑health, healthcare‑technology, benefits, navigation, PBM, payer‑services, or similarly relevant vendor.
  • A proven track record of retaining and growing consequential payer relationships, including securing marketing access or comparable downstream action.
  • Deep working knowledge of claims and ROI economics, with the ability to interrogate methodology, reconcile conflicting evidence, and stand behind the account position.
  • Strong executive judgment and exceptional written and verbal communication across functions, levels, and competing stakeholder interests.
  • Hands‑on analytical self‑sufficiency and a low‑ego, high‑ownership operating style, plus willingness to travel domestically up to 10%.
  • The ability to thrive in highly ambiguous environments where priorities evolve quickly and success depends on judgment rather than process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a senior customer success or account management role within the health‑tech or payer space.
  • Familiarity with AI‑driven care platforms and the regulatory landscape surrounding digital health solutions.
  • Previous success in negotiating complex, multi‑party agreements that involve data sharing, marketing approvals, and revenue‑sharing models.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership and drive cross‑functional alignment.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau) and a strong quantitative mindset.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic Thinking & Execution
  • Relationship Management & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making
  • Negotiation & Influence
  • Project Management & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Adaptability & Resilience in Ambiguous Situations

  • Participate in cross‑functional strategy sessions, influencing product roadmap and market positioning.
  • Access continuous learning resources, including industry conferences, AI workshops, and internal knowledge‑sharing forums.
  • Earn recognition through performance‑based equity awards and leadership development programs.

  • Work‑life balance, with flexible remote options and a supportive wellness program.

Compensation & Benefits

The total compensation package for this role includes a competitive base salary, variable incentives tied to individual and company performance, and equity options that align your success with the long‑term growth of brighthush. While the base range for this position is $147,700—$232,100 USD, we adjust quickly to ensure that exceptional talent receives compensation that reflects their impact. In addition to the financial package, you will enjoy:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance with generous coverage.
