About the Team
The Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) team sits at the intersection of security, user experience, and product strategy. Working closely with engineering, security, compliance, and customer success, we build the foundation that lets millions of users access their accounts safely and effortlessly. Our team is small, agile, and highly collaborative, with a shared focus on delivering measurable impact.
Your Impact
As the Senior Product Manager for CIAM, you will be the voice of the customer and the steward of the platform’s vision. Your decisions will shape how users authenticate, authorize, and manage their identities across all brighthush digital touchpoints. You will lead the migration of legacy systems to a unified, API‑driven identity foundation, enabling faster time‑to‑market for new products, stronger compliance, and a frictionless user journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy – Define a compelling CIAM vision that aligns with brighthush’s digital strategy and business objectives. Communicate this vision to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and buy‑in across engineering, security, and executive leadership.
- Roadmap & Prioritization – Own the CIAM roadmap, balancing customer value, technical feasibility, risk mitigation, and cost. Use data, stakeholder input, and market research to prioritize features and enhancements, and maintain a clear, transparent backlog.
- Discovery & Design – Lead structured discovery workshops, map current‑state journeys, and document system behavior, integrations, and failure paths. Translate findings into future‑state requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that drive product success.
- Technical Fluency – Develop deep expertise in authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML), identity platforms (brighthush, brighthush, brighthush), API design, data flows, and security controls. Use this knowledge to challenge assumptions and guide product decisions.
- Backlog Management – Create and maintain an executable Azure DevOps backlog with epics, features, stories, spikes, and acceptance criteria. Ensure clear dependencies, realistic estimates, and a healthy flow of work.
- Cross‑Functional Leadership – Partner with engineering, architecture, security, operations, and program leaders to build credible plans that cover discovery, design, build, testing, cutover, rollback, and operational readiness.
- Go‑Live & Post‑Launch – Define readiness, go/no‑go, rollback, testing, and success criteria. Coordinate customer communications, support preparation, monitoring, and hyper‑care to ensure a smooth transition.
- Stakeholder Communication – Track risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions. Provide candid, data‑driven reporting to executives, product, and technology leaders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Influence & Autonomy – Work independently, create clarity in ambiguous situations, and influence decisions across product, technology, security, business, operations, and vendor teams.
- Continuous Improvement – Mentor junior product managers and analysts, fostering a culture of learning, experimentation, and innovation.
