Key Responsibilities

• Full Software Development Life Cycle: Design, develop, test, and deploy integrations and enhancements that extend the core brighthush platform, ensuring seamless functionality across all customer touchpoints.
• Custom Interface Development: Build Java‑based inbound and outbound interfaces, create robust web services, and craft custom extensions that meet unique client requirements, from payment gateways to fraud detection dashboards.
• System Integration: Seamlessly connect brighthush solutions with client environments—whether on‑premise, in the cloud (brighthush, brighthush, brighthush), or hybrid—using SQL, NoSQL, and streaming technologies such as Kafka and Pulsar.
• Performance & Reliability: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing systems to ensure high availability and low latency for mission‑critical fraud detection and compliance workflows.
• Production Support: Deploy updates, manage releases, and provide second‑tier support to live clients, ensuring minimal disruption and rapid issue resolution.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives, delivering incremental value while maintaining code quality and architectural integrity.
• Client Engagement: Act as a technical consultant, translating client needs into actionable requirements and guiding them through implementation and adoption, while fostering long‑term partnerships.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Produce clear, maintainable documentation and share best practices across the engineering community, contributing to our internal knowledge base and open‑source initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on Java development (or a comparable modern language) in a production environment.
• Proficiency with relational (SQL) and non‑relational (NoSQL) databases.
• Experience designing and implementing client‑facing APIs and microservices.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for building reliable, high‑performance systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 15 % of the time to client sites or regional offices.

Preferred Qualifications
