About brighthush

brighthush is a trailblazing cloud‑native security platform that empowers financial institutions, insurers, and fintechs to build and run applications with confidence. Since our founding in 2021, we have grown into a vibrant community of 201‑500 innovators, headquartered in Kirkland, Washington, and serving customers across the globe. Our mission is simple: eliminate the risk of software supply chain vulnerabilities so that our partners can focus on delivering value to their clients, not patching security gaps.

Why This Role Matters

As a Staff Customer Success Manager – Majors, you will be the strategic post‑sales partner for our most influential financial services accounts. You will shape the long‑term success of banks, asset managers, insurers, and fintechs by translating complex security solutions into tangible business outcomes. Your influence will ripple across executive boards, product roadmaps, and the very fabric of our customer relationships.

Remote, USA‑Only – Work From Anywhere, Lead From Everywhere

We are a fully remote, remote‑first organization. If you live in the United States, you can join our team from any city, state, or time zone. We provide a generous home‑office stipend, flexible coworking support, and bi‑annual destination summits to keep our distributed community connected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Account Management – Build and nurture trusted relationships across the entire customer organization, from technical practitioners to CISOs and executive sponsors. Understand each customer’s business objectives, risk priorities, and regulatory landscape to align brighthush’s value proposition accordingly.
  • Customer Onboarding & Success Planning – Own the business‑focused elements of onboarding, including success planning, stakeholder alignment, and value delivery milestones. Partner with Solutions Architects to ensure business and technical workstreams remain tightly coordinated.
  • Executive Engagement – Lead executive business reviews, strategic planning sessions, and escalation conversations. Know when to bring in brighthush’s executive team and how to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics in large financial institutions.
  • Renewal & Expansion – Collaborate closely with sales to identify expansion opportunities, mitigate renewal risk, and build multi‑year account strategies grounded in demonstrated value.
  • Customer Advocacy – Represent the voice of the customer internally, translating needs into product and roadmap feedback. Influence cross‑functional teams—including Product, Engineering, and Sales—on behalf of your accounts.
  • Issue Management – Coordinate with Technical Support and Engineering on escalations, serving as the business‑facing lead while the Solutions Architect manages technical resolution.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years in enterprise customer‑facing roles, with a strong preference for experience in or adjacent to financial services.
  • Proven ability to operate as a strategic business partner, not just a relationship manager. You must understand customer business goals, navigate organizational complexity, and connect brighthush outcomes to measurable business value.
  • Deep familiarity with financial services regulatory and compliance drivers (SOC 2, FedRAMP, PCI DSS, operational resilience frameworks) and how they shape security buying decisions.
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following domains: software supply chain security, vulnerability management, DevSecOps, container security, or application security. You do not need to be a technical implementer, but you must speak credibly to business and security outcomes in these areas.
  • High‑autonomy mindset: take full ownership of your portfolio, make independent decisions about account strategy and escalation, and build new playbooks when existing ones do not fit.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High emotional intelligence, strong prioritization instincts, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
  • Prior experience managing strategic accounts at a cybersecurity or infrastructure software company.
  • Experience supporting or selling into financial services customers such as banks, asset managers, insurers, or fintechs.
  • Familiarity with the security and compliance obligations that shape procurement and adoption cycles in regulated industries.
  • Previous early‑stage startup experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a senior customer success or account management role within a high‑growth SaaS company.
  • Track record of driving renewals, expansions, and upsells in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Proficiency with customer success platforms (e.g., Gainsight, Totango) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Fluency in data‑driven decision making, with the ability to translate metrics into actionable insights.
  • Background in consulting or strategy consulting, especially within the financial services sector.

  • Strategic Thinking & Visionary Leadership
  • Executive‑Level Relationship Building
  • Regulatory & Compliance Expertise
  • Business & Technical Communication
  • Data Analysis & KPI Tracking
  • Project & Program Management
  • Conflict Resolution & Negotiation
  • Agile & DevSecOps Mindset
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset
