UX Designer, Sr.
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead customer acquisition experiences for a Type 2 diabetes Medicare audience that does not use insulin. This remote role focuses primarily on responsive web design, with opportunities to contribute to mobile web experiences and web features embedded within native applications. You will plan and conduct user research, translate findings into practical design decisions, and present design work and rationale to product leadership weekly. Working closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers, you will contribute to a fast-paced, Figma-based environment focused on research, design, testing, feedback, and continuous improvement. The work centers on feature-focused initiatives in a regulated healthcare environment, where accessibility, quality, and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Design responsive web experiences that support customer acquisition, with potential contributions to mobile web and web experiences embedded in native applications. Plan, conduct, and facilitate user interviews and research activities, translating findings into actionable design decisions. Present design concepts, research insights, and design rationale to product leadership on a weekly basis. Partner with product managers, engineers, and designers to define product strategy and near-term priorities. Represent user needs across patient, caregiver, and healthcare provider experiences while helping improve colleague experiences with internal tools. Proactively develop new design ideas and take ownership of initiatives that influence the broader product portfolio. Contribute to a positive design culture by welcoming feedback and engaging in respectful disagreement. Work within a Figma-based environment to research, design, test, gather feedback, and iterate rapidly.
Required Qualifications
Strong UX/UI design experience focused on responsive web applications. Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. Ability to explain design decisions and support recommendations with user research and evidence. A portfolio demonstrating design craft, accessibility, attention to detail, edge-case handling, and problem-solving ability. Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and technical leads. A self-starter mindset and the ability to manage multiple fast-moving initiatives. Proficiency in Figma and a strong focus on accessibility. Ability to work remotely with overlap during Pacific Time (PST) business hours. West Coast candidates are preferred, but applicants in other U.S. time zones are welcome.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing native iOS and Android applications. Experience in healthcare, medical devices, or another regulated industry. Work Arrangement This is a remote position open to candidates across U.S. time zones, with a preference for West Coast candidates. Applicants must be able to work on a W-2 basis, as required by the client. Compensation & Benefits Pay rate: $58.00–$62.00 per hour on a W-2 basis. W-2 consultants are offered a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and life insurance.
