Vice President of Digital Finance

Role Description The Vice President of Digital Finance is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing all digital financial operations and strategy for The Wine Diplomat. This position manages financial planning and analysis for digital initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking across online platforms and revenue streams. The role includes supervising the preparation and review of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery to leadership and stakeholders. The Vice President collaborates with executive and cross-functional teams to optimize digital finance processes, support data-driven decision-making, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency. Daily activities involve monitoring key financial metrics, improving reporting tools, guiding the finance team, and contributing to strategic planning for the organization’s digital expansion.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong skills in Finance and Financial Planning, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and digital revenue modeling. Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, analysis, and compliance with relevant standards. Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, evaluate digital performance metrics, and support strategic recommendations. Extensive experience in senior-level finance roles, preferably within digital, e-commerce, or subscription-based businesses. Proficiency with financial software, analytics tools, and modern ERP systems; familiarity with digital payment platforms and online revenue management is beneficial. Demonstrated leadership abilities, including managing distributed teams, influencing stakeholders, and driving organizational change. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights for non-finance audiences. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred. Interest in or familiarity with the wine industry and global luxury or lifestyle brands is a plus.
