This senior leadership position will focus on exploring future markets, developing innovative business models, evaluating strategic investments, and transforming early-stage concepts into commercially viable opportunities. The Vice President will work closely with executive leadership, strategy, product, technology, business development, and operations teams to identify emerging trends and establish scalable innovation programs. The ideal candidate combines entrepreneurial thinking, strategic leadership, commercial judgment, and hands-on experience building new businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a long-term business innovation strategy aligned with organizational objectives. Identify emerging markets, disruptive technologies, and new business opportunities. Lead the development, validation, and commercialization of innovative business models. Evaluate new ventures, strategic initiatives, and potential growth opportunities. Build and manage an innovation pipeline from initial concept through market validation and commercial execution. Lead market research, competitive analysis, and emerging technology assessments. Develop business cases, financial models, and investment recommendations for new initiatives. Establish strategic partnerships with startups, technology providers, investors, and industry organizations. Collaborate with product and technology teams to develop and launch innovative products and services. Evaluate opportunities involving artificial intelligence, automation, digital platforms, and other emerging technologies. Lead cross-functional innovation projects and ensure alignment with corporate strategy. Establish frameworks for experimentation, proof-of-concept development, and pilot programs. Identify opportunities for new revenue streams, market expansion, and business diversification. Develop innovation KPIs and measure commercial performance, investment efficiency, and strategic impact. Support corporate venture initiatives, strategic investments, and potential acquisition opportunities. Recruit, mentor, and develop innovation leaders and business development professionals. Present strategic opportunities, innovation performance, and investment recommendations to executive leadership. Qualifications12+ years of progressive experience in business innovation, corporate strategy, business development, venture building, product strategy, or related disciplines. Significant leadership experience as a Vice President of Innovation, VP of Strategy, Head of New Ventures, Head of Corporate Innovation, or comparable senior executive. Demonstrated experience identifying, developing, and commercializing new business opportunities. Strong understanding of emerging technologies, digital transformation, and innovative business models. Experience launching new products, business units, ventures, or strategic growth initiatives. Proven ability to evaluate commercial opportunities, financial feasibility, and strategic business risks. Experience within technology, startups, venture capital, consulting, financial technology, or innovation-driven organizations is highly valued. Strong understanding of market research, competitive positioning, and go-to-market strategy. Experience developing strategic partnerships and working with founders, investors, and executive leadership. Excellent analytical judgment, strategic thinking, negotiation, communication, and executive leadership capabilities. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, technology, engineering, or a related discipline. MBA or another relevant advanced qualification is preferred.
