Vice President of Procurement

Role Description The Vice President of Procurement is a full-time, remote role responsible for establishing and leading the procurement function for Trio Impact Invest AB and, where relevant, supporting portfolio companies. This position manages end-to-end procurement activities, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing contract management for goods and services that support the firm’s operations and investments. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing procurement strategies, optimizing supply chain processes, and building strong relationships with key suppliers and partners. The role also involves creating and implementing procurement policies, tracking performance against budget and KPIs, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The Vice President of Procurement collaborates closely with finance, investment, operations, and portfolio company leadership to drive cost efficiency, quality, and risk mitigation across all sourcing activities.

Qualifications

Strong expertise in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, with the ability to design and oversee efficient, scalable purchasing processes. Proficiency in Contract Negotiation and Contract Management, including structuring agreements, managing renewals, and ensuring compliance. Experience in Supplier Development, including evaluating vendors, building strategic partnerships, and improving supplier performance. Background in strategic sourcing within asset management, venture capital, technology, or related industries is highly beneficial. Proven leadership experience in a senior procurement or operations role, with a track record of managing cross-functional initiatives. Strong analytical and financial skills, including budgeting, cost analysis, and KPI-driven performance management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and international environment. Relevant academic degree in business, supply chain, engineering, finance, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
