About the Role
Granite Investment Partners is seeking an experienced Vice President of Product to lead product strategy, oversee development initiatives, and support the company's long term business objectives. We are looking for a leader who understands how to build successful products, manage teams, and translate business needs into practical solutions. This position will work closely with executive leadership, technology teams, and other departments to identify opportunities, improve product performance, and guide future development. The ideal candidate is a hands on leader with strong business judgment, extensive management experience, and a proven ability to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and oversee product strategies that align with company goals and business priorities. Lead product planning, development, and ongoing improvement initiatives. Manage product teams and provide guidance on priorities, performance, and execution. Work closely with engineering, operations, finance, and business development teams. Identify market opportunities and evaluate potential new products and services. Establish product roadmaps and ensure development efforts support business objectives. Monitor product performance and recommend improvements based on business results and customer feedback. Oversee product requirements, development schedules, and resource allocation. Support executive leadership in evaluating product investments and strategic opportunities. Build effective processes for product planning, reporting, and performance management. Identify potential business and operational risks related to product development. Support the hiring, development, and ongoing leadership of product management teams
Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in product management, product development, business leadership, or related fields. Extensive experience leading product teams and managing complex product initiatives. Strong understanding of product strategy, business planning, and product lifecycle management. Proven ability to develop and execute product roadmaps. Experience working with senior executives and cross functional leadership teams. Strong analytical thinking, communication, and decision making skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams in a changing business environment. Experience with digital products, technology platforms, or financial services products preferred. Strong understanding of market research, customer needs, and business performance. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Technology, Finance, Management, or a related field preferred
