Vice President of Project Management

Role Description The Vice President of Project Management is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects and programs across the organization. This role leads and mentors project and program managers, establishes best practices, and implements frameworks that ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Vice President will collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to define priorities, allocate resources, manage risks, and align project outcomes with strategic business objectives. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project portfolios, monitoring performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and communicating status updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders. The role also involves building strong relationships with internal and external partners, championing effective change management, and promoting a culture of accountability and excellence in project execution.

Qualifications

Strong Project Management skills, including expertise in project planning and delivery methodologies. Proficiency in Program Management to oversee multi-project portfolios and align initiatives with organizational strategy. Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, evaluate performance, and support evidence-based decision-making. Demonstrated experience in Budgeting and financial oversight for complex projects and programs. Proven leadership experience managing and developing project management teams in a remote or distributed environment. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels. Experience implementing project management frameworks and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid models, PM software platforms). Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (such as PMP, PgMP, or equivalent) are highly beneficial. Track record of successfully delivering large-scale, cross-functional initiatives and leading organizational change.
