Context

From 27 to 29 October 2026, UNDP and the Government of Spain are hosting the Financing the SDGs Dialogue 2026: Advancing Country-Led Approaches to Financing Sustainable Development in Madrid, Spain.

The Dialogue gathers high-level government representatives, ministers of finance and planning, international financial institutions, civil society organisations, development partners, and private-sector actors. The event centers on accelerating country-led financing solutions aligned with the Sevilla Commitment and the Sevilla Platform for Action (SPA) and identify practical opportunities to mobilise and align public, private and international finance around national priorities.

To capture the wealth of insights and evidence presented across more than 20 plenary and technical breakout sessions, the UNDP editorial team will develop an event outcome note summarising high-level findings, and a country case study compendium.

Accurate, high-quality, and prompt transcription of all recorded sessions is essential for the editorial team to draft case studies and synthesise actionable takeaways. Online UN Volunteers will provide critical support by transcribing audio/video recordings from the Dialogue.

Session recordings will be made available via cloud links (Zoom, YouTube, and/or event repository video files).

Specific tasks and responsibilities include: • Full session transcription: Accurately transcribe video recordings of assigned plenary or parallel technical sessions into Microsoft Word documents. Automatic generation can be used as a basis but will require careful human verification. • Speaker identification and time-stamping: Clearly identify speakers (including country, organisation, title, and name as noted in the session agenda) and insert periodic timestamps at speaker transitions. • Technical terminology and quality review: Check overall accuracy and readability, flag inaudible or unclear segments, ensure precise spelling and transcription of specialised finance, international development, and UN terminology.
