Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Maintenance Technician at brighthush, you will be the backbone of our plant reliability and operational excellence. Your day‑to‑day tasks will include:

  • Major Equipment Installation & Overhaul: Plan, coordinate, and execute the installation, removal, and overhaul of industrial mechanical and rotating systems—compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, and cooling towers.
  • Process Equipment Support: Maintain water treatment systems, gas‑fired vaporizers, hydrogen generators, piping networks, and other critical process equipment to ensure uninterrupted operation.
  • Turnaround Planning & Cost Estimation: Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed turnaround schedules, estimate labor and material costs, and identify opportunities to reduce downtime and expenses.
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections, perform root‑cause analysis for major failures, and apply vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, and other predictive techniques to preempt equipment issues.
  • Documentation & Asset Management: Record all maintenance activities in the enterprise asset management system, maintain accurate work orders, and support the Oil & Vibrations Predictive Program.
  • Safety & Compliance: Operate safely in both office and field environments, including off‑hour work and elevated equipment access (ladders, scaffolding, man lifts, crane baskets). Escalate technical concerns promptly to protect personnel and equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work independently or as part of cross‑functional teams, providing technical guidance, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • Minimum five years of hands‑on experience maintaining mechanical and rotating systems in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Proven track record in the installation, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of compressors, turbines, blowers, and heat exchangers.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies, including vibration analysis and dynamic balancing.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and alignment tools for multi‑train equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—enabling clear documentation and effective teamwork.
  • Advanced computer literacy, including experience with standard software packages and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Understanding of regulatory and industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, OSHA). Completion of a machinist or millwright apprenticeship is highly valued.
  • Hands‑on experience with enterprise asset management systems and a commitment to meticulous record‑keeping.

While not mandatory, the following will give you a competitive edge:

  • Certification in vibration analysis or dynamic balancing.
  • Experience with high‑pressure gas systems and hydrogen generation.
