Role Overview
As the first Customer Marketing Manager at brighthush, you will be the architect and executor of our customer marketing strategy. Your mission is to turn our installed base into a predictable source of expansion pipeline and a deep bench of customer advocates. You will work across our entire portfolio of mid‑market and enterprise customers, driving self‑serve to Enterprise upgrades, cross‑sell and upsell initiatives, and advocacy programs that amplify our brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Expansion Pipeline – Own the self‑serve to Enterprise upgrade motion, scaling pilot programs into an always‑on, data‑driven initiative. Build one‑to‑many expansion programs in partnership with Expansion Sales, including cross‑sell and upsell plays, targeted nurtures, and sales‑ready offers.
- Collaborate with Campaigns – Adapt major campaigns and launches for customer audiences, ensuring existing customers hear the right story at the right moment.
- Equip Expansion Sales – Provide timing, messaging, and assets that enable sales to act on signals generated by your programs.
- Localize for EMEA – Allocate approximately 15 % of your effort to adapt expansion and lifecycle programs for EMEA customers, tailoring messaging, timing, channels, and events to regional nuances.
- Fuel Adoption with CS & Product Marketing – Build lifecycle programs that support Customer Success in delivering value: onboarding and feature‑adoption emails, webinars, launch communications, and product‑driven campaigns.
- Design Lifecycle Journeys – Translate strategy into actionable journeys within our marketing automation platform, working closely with Marketing Ops on complex builds and attribution.
- Build Customer Data Foundation – Partner with Marketing Ops and CS to create segments and scoring models that determine program eligibility and timing.
- Run Advocacy Engine – Launch and manage a customer advocacy program that includes speaker recruitment for events, case studies, references, referrals, and review programs on platforms such as G2.
- Lead Customer Events & Advisory Board – Establish a Customer Advisory Board to surface insights for product, messaging, and strategy. Plan and execute customer‑focused events and user groups.
Success Metrics
- Expansion Pipeline – Pipeline sourced and influenced by your programs, tracked separately for self‑serve upgrades and Enterprise expansion.
- Adoption Impact – Engagement with adoption programs and subsequent feature activation, measured in collaboration with CS and Product Marketing.
- Advocacy Outcomes – Number of case studies published, customer availability for speaking and thought‑leadership activities, and review volume and ratings against plan.
First 90 Days
Take ownership of the upgrade pilot, define the 2027 customer marketing plan, and partner with sales to generate quick expansion pipeline. Your early wins will set the tone for long‑term success.
Qualifications
Essential
- 6+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, with at least 3 years in customer, lifecycle, or expansion marketing.
