[Remote] Analyst - Business Intelligence & Analytics

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Inspirato is hiring an Analyst to contribute to its business intelligence and analytics function. The role develops and maintains reports, dashboards, data models, and analytics, partners with stakeholders to identify reporting opportunities, and promotes data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain reports, dashboards and analytics in the Power BI platform
• Conceive and author DAX measures to allow for meaningful calculations and insight
• Perform parallel work such as data integration, ETL and data model development and enhancement to support this effort
• Work with the I.T. and Data Architecture teams and contracted resources as required to deliver best-in-class business intelligence to business stakeholders
• Engage with business stakeholders across a wide range of functions to identify and capitalize on key opportunities for analytics and reporting enhancements
• Identify data sources and help the business to prepare data for integration
• Foster a data-driven culture through the adoption and proliferation of data management best practices and advocate BI throughout the organization
• Communicate any observed defects in the data and work with the business to remedy
• Advance and further develop knowledge of Power BI, DAX, Power Query and other BI and analytics tools through online resources and/or books, training courses, user groups or professional organizations
• Stay up-to-date on the latest Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform functionality and developments
• Contribute business intelligence and analytics expertise to special projects/assignments as required by the company’s expansion or ongoing operation

Skills

• Must have prior knowledge of position/industry (2-3 years previous experience in same or related field)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, including proficiency in the DAX formula language
• The ability to develop data extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes via Power Query, with a working knowledge of the M query language
• Experience creating dimensional data models such as star and snowflake schemas
• Proven experience using data visualization techniques to create meaningful reports and dashboards
• Able to translate business requirements into elegant and user-friendly reports and dashboards
• Eager to effectively articulate to a broad audience ideas and solutions of a complex/technical nature
• Experience working with and/or developing in Microsoft Power Automate
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with business unit leadership
• Experience with programming languages such as SQL or Python
