[Remote] Chief Accounting Officer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Golden Jackets Brazil is hiring a Chief Accounting Officer to oversee the community’s accounting and financial reporting activities. The role leads financial processes, budgeting, compliance, and controls, and supports leadership with transparent reporting and long-term financial planning.

Responsibilities

• The CAO is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting activities for the organization
• This role will lead the design and maintenance of financial processes, ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, and develop policies that support responsible financial management of community initiatives
• The CAO will monitor budgets, track expenses related to events and programs, and provide transparent reporting to leadership to support strategic decision-making
• Day-to-day tasks include supervising accounting operations, coordinating with any external finance or tax professionals, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, and implementing controls to safeguard organizational resources
• The CAO will also collaborate with community leaders to forecast financial needs, optimize resource allocation, and contribute to long-term financial planning

Skills

• Strong Accounting and Finance skills, with experience in managing organizational budgets and financial operations
• Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, analysis, and presentation to leadership
• A Certified Public Accounting (CPA) credential or equivalent professional certification, or demonstrable experience in a senior accounting role
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial management tools, and familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• The ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and providing clear, actionable financial insights
