[Remote] Chief Financial Officer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Donkey is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead its financial strategy and oversee financial operations. The role manages planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and risk management while providing financial insights to support executive decisions and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's business objectives
• Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow planning, and resource allocation
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support executive decision-making
• Oversee financial reporting, accounting processes, and the preparation of financial statements
• Maintain accurate financial records and establish appropriate financial controls
• Monitor financial performance and communicate key findings to executive leadership
• Manage operating budgets, expense controls, and financial planning processes
• Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and optimize resource utilization
• Evaluate financial performance against established budgets and business targets
• Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax advisers, and legal professionals as needed
• Support compliance with applicable financial regulations, reporting requirements, and internal policies
• Collaborate with the CEO and department leaders on strategic initiatives and business planning
• Provide financial insights to support investment decisions, operational improvements, and growth opportunities
• Develop financial performance indicators and reporting procedures to strengthen organizational accountability
• Review the company's existing financial structure, reporting processes, and internal controls
• Evaluate current budgets, cash flow, and financial planning procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve financial visibility, cost management, and reporting efficiency
• Establish a financial strategy and reporting framework aligned with the company's business goals
• The CFO will perform additional financial and executive responsibilities consistent with the position's scope, professional qualifications, and the company's evolving business needs

Skills

• Significant experience in senior financial management, corporate finance, accounting, or financial planning
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial risk management
• Demonstrated ability to support executive decision-making through financial analysis and strategic planning
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• High standards of integrity, accuracy, and professional confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment
• An MBA or relevant advanced degree
• A CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional qualification
