[Remote] Chief Financial Officer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Young Ambitious Women Foundation Inc. is seeking a volunteer Chief Financial Officer to oversee its financial health and sustainability. The role manages budgeting, financial reporting, grant and fundraising documentation, policies, and internal controls, while providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team and board.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the financial health and sustainability of Young Ambitious Women Foundation Inc
• Manage budgeting, cash flow, and long-term financial planning, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and nonprofit regulations
• Monitoring expenditures, reviewing and preparing financial statements, supporting grant and fundraising financial documentation, and developing financial policies and internal controls
• Collaborate with the executive team and board to present financial reports, provide strategic financial guidance, and help shape financial decisions that support program growth and community impact

Skills

• Strong foundation in Finance with proven experience in nonprofit or organizational financial leadership
• Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term sustainability strategies
• Ability to prepare, review, and interpret Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent Analytical Skills, including the ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and recommend actionable insights
• Familiarity with 501(c)(3) compliance, grant and donor reporting, and basic accounting principles
• High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to YAW's mission of empowerment and community impact
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• The ability to work remotely and manage responsibilities independently
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
• CPA or equivalent credential
