[Remote] Chief Operating Officer

Granite Investment Partners is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead daily operations, improve internal processes, and support strategic priorities. The role works with executive leadership to guide business planning, organizational performance, and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily business operations and ensure teams are working toward company objectives
• Develop and improve operational processes to support efficiency and long term growth
• Work closely with executive leadership on business planning, operational strategy, and organizational priorities
• Lead department heads and support effective communication across business functions
• Establish performance goals and monitor operational results
• Manage resources, budgets, and operational planning to support business needs
• Identify operational risks and develop practical solutions
• Support the development of internal policies, reporting procedures, and management practices
• Build a strong leadership team and encourage accountability across departments
• Evaluate business performance and recommend improvements that support sustainable growth

Skills

• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in operations, business management, or organizational leadership
• Significant experience managing teams, departments, or business units
• Strong understanding of business operations, budgeting, strategic planning, and performance management
• Proven ability to improve internal processes and manage organizational change
• Experience working with senior executives and making high level business decisions
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a remote environment
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field preferred
