Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Zscaler is hiring a Manager, Sales Engineering - SMB to lead and grow its regional US sales engineering organization for its core portfolio, including the Gen AI market. The role partners with sales, product management, and engineering to develop strategic solutions and close customer and partner deals.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, mentor, and develop the sales engineering team
- Refine and scale core sales engineering processes including discovery, technical qualification, and proof-of-concept
- Partner with sales leadership and clients to design and present business solutions that drive revenue growth
- Work within a matrixed environment to promote and support the Zscaler portfolio through value-based selling
Skills
- Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience with a proven track record in sales or systems engineering with experience managing and directing a sales engineering team
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, and talent development
- Technical expertise in cybersecurity and networking
- Proven ability to communicate value-based selling in a matrixed GTM environment
- Experience working with Zscaler or competitive solutions
- Deep understanding of SaaS-based technologies and regulatory compliance
- Experience teaming with large GTM and Partner Ecosystems in a matrix environment
- Demonstrate strong AI fluency by leveraging coding assistants, LLMs, and Generative AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, solution design, automation, and customer problem-solving, while applying sound technical judgment to validate outputs
