About brighthush

At brighthush, we’re rewriting the story of how people protect and care for the most valuable assets in their lives—cars, homes, and other physical possessions. For decades, the journey of owning and insuring these assets has been riddled with fragmented processes, confusing paperwork, and hidden costs. Our mission is to bring the same level of convenience, intelligence, and transparency that has transformed banking and e‑commerce into the insurance world.

Founded in 2019, brighthush has quickly become one of the top three car‑insurance brokers in the United States. We’ve expanded our platform to include home, motorcycle, RV, and other asset categories, and we’re now the first AI‑powered advisor that helps customers manage every step of the ownership lifecycle—from purchase and financing to maintenance, repairs, and resale. With over 5 million customers, more than $240 million in funding, and profitability achieved in 2024, we’re a Y Combinator‑backed, high‑growth startup that’s redefining the insurance industry.

Our team is a blend of seasoned leaders from Nvidia, Meta, Amazon, BCG, McKinsey, Bain, and GEICO, united by a shared passion for technology, customer obsession, and continuous learning. We’re proud to be recognized by Forbes, Statista, and other industry bodies as one of the best startup employers, and we’re committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high‑energy culture where every voice matters.
