[Remote] Director of Finance And Accounting

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Origin Staffing is recruiting for an unnamed restaurant investment and operating platform. The Director of Finance and Accounting will oversee audits, accounting and financial reporting, FP&A, and finance operations while mentoring two FP&A professionals and supporting senior leadership and restaurant operators.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple annual financial statement audits across operating entities, managing external auditor relationships, audit preparation, and coordination of supporting resources
• Provide accounting and financial reporting oversight across the portfolio, working with internal and external accounting resources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accountability
• Lead and mentor two high-performing FP&A analysts, providing guidance, professional development, and support as they continue advancing their careers
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting, while partnering with leadership on business performance and financial decisions
• Work directly with senior leadership and restaurant operators on a broad range of finance, accounting, and operational matters, including support for acquisitions and new business integrations
• Help improve financial processes, audit readiness, and reporting infrastructure as the organization continues to grow
• Take ownership of special projects and ad hoc business needs beyond traditional accounting and finance responsibilities

Skills

• 8+ years of progressive experience across accounting, audit, controllership, or finance leadership
• Strong accounting foundation, particularly experience managing external audits and working with auditors across multiple entities
• Experience working across multiple businesses or within operationally complex, transaction-heavy environments
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with an interest in coaching, mentoring, and developing talented finance professionals
• Exposure to FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• CPA or public accounting background
• Restaurant, hospitality, franchise, or multi-unit experience
