[Remote] Field Sales Consultant, K-12, MO (Remote)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cengage hires a Field Sales Consultant to grow sales of digital and print learning products in the K-12 market. The role develops customer relationships, manages territory plans, achieves sales goals, and reports sales activity and forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and historical data
• Participate in network building opportunities within territory, including conferences, group presentations, and industry functions
• Other duties as needed

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching, and education sales preferably in the publishing industry
• Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement performance
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions
• Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain effective working relationship with current and prospective customers, internal business partners, colleagues, and management
• Documented territory management and organizational skills
• Strong competency in the use of business technologies, multiple applications, CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to transport materials to customer locations is essential to this role
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs unaided
• Sales experience with exceptional knowledge of digital information delivery, education, or the informational technology industry
