[Remote] Patient Accounting Representative, Patient Finance Services, Full Time, First Shift

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. UC Health is hiring a Patient Accounting Representative to support patient finance services and revenue cycle collections. The role bills and follows up on claims, collects past-due patient balances, posts cash, and provides related customer service and account support.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Accounting Representative bills claims electronically, check for unpaid claim status, post cash, pursue self  pay cash collections, scan documents, request medical records and/or provide customer service
• Assists the manager in all daily activities associated with the collection function
• Responsible for collection of past due accounts from patients
• Collection will be accomplished by conventional phone system, letters, and other correspondence to collect balances, arrange payments, settlements, and review discount qualifications
• Revenue Cycle Performance
• Productivity
• Quality Reviews
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in Revenue Cycle and/or Epic Revenue Cycle applications
• Associate's Degree
