Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Texas Education Agency is hiring a Salesforce Software Engineer / Consultant to design, configure, customize, test, deploy, and support TCDD’s Salesforce Public Sector Solution and Grantmaking platform. The role collaborates with agency staff and stakeholders, supports data and system operations, and provides training and ongoing user support.
Responsibilities
- Configure, customize, test, deploy, and maintain TCDD's Salesforce Public Sector Solution and Grantmaking platform
- Collaborate with internal staff, grantees, and stakeholders to gather requirements, identify business needs, and develop effective Salesforce solutions
- Design and implement custom applications, workflows, automations, forms, reports, dashboards, and data management processes that support TCDD operations
- Support data migration, data validation, system integration, and quality assurance activities
- Develop and maintain system documentation, configuration documentation, business process documentation, and user guides
- Troubleshoot system issues and implement enhancements to improve functionality, efficiency, and user experience
- Coordinate system updates, testing, deployment activities, and production releases
- Ensure the system remains accessible, secure, compliant, and aligned with agency policies and business requirements
- Work collaboratively with teams across the agency to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and expanded use of Salesforce applications
- Provide technical assistance and ongoing support to internal users and external stakeholders
- Develop training materials, job aids, reference guides, and other learning resources
- Deliver individual and group training sessions for staff and system users
- Provide ongoing coaching, technical assistance, and user support
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to ensure staff understand system functionality, business processes, reporting tools, and workflow management
- Promote user adoption and effective use of Salesforce by serving as a trusted resource and trainer for agency personnel

- 7 yrs, Required - Salesforce Flow automation
- 7 yrs, Required - Salesforce security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules)
- 7 yrs, Required - DevOps and deployment management (Salesforce DX, version control, CI/CD)
- 7 yrs, Required - Data migration and ETL processes
- 4 yrs, Required - Salesforce Platform configuration and administration for Public Sector (PSS) License
- 4 yrs, Required - Experience with Experience Cloud and Community Plus
- 4 yrs, Required - Report and dashboard development
