Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ovise is recruiting for an unnamed technology company developing data-driven solutions for identity, fraud, and financial risk challenges. The Senior Data Scientist will own the data science lifecycle, build and improve machine learning models for risk decisions, research fraud patterns, and share insights that inform product and business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own the full data science lifecycle, from data acquisition and feature engineering to modelling, deployment and monitoring
- Build and improve machine learning models powering real-world risk decisions
- Research emerging fraud patterns and support the development of new products
- Write production-quality Python code and conduct rigorous statistical analysis
- Present insights that influence product strategy, commercial decisions and business growth
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product and operational teams
Skills
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Strong education (PhD, Masters, Bachelor's)
- Strong practical ML, statistics and problem-solving skills
- Experience taking data science projects from concept through to production
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging senior stakeholders
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach to complex, ambiguous problems
